Australian citizenship test

The Australian citizenship test checks your basic English and what you know about Australia: its people and history, its democratic beliefs, rights and liberties, government and the law, and Australian values. Most applicants aged 18 to 59 must pass it, and every question is based on the official booklet Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond.

  • Official practice: Home Affairs also offers a free practice test, a podcast and AMEPOnline citizenship modules, all linked from its prepare page.
  • Our questions: written by FreeExamPath on the four parts of the booklet; about one in five is on Australian values (the real test has 5 in 20).
